Ancient and Wholistic Healing

Shamanic Healing is the most ancient form of healing found in every culture that has ever inhabited the Earth. Deep physical, emotional, mental, and Spiritual healing can be experienced that cannot be accessed any other way. It is the way of our Ancestors. It is the way of the Earth. It is a way that has been lost to many peoples in many places. It is a way that can be reclaimed.

Shamanic Healing treats the realms of body, emotion, mind and Spirit as totally interwoven. Physical ailments might be emotional, mental, and/or Spiritual in origin. Likewise emotional ailments might be physically, mentally and/or Spiritually caused, and so on.

Shamanic Healing can give you new vision, new trust, and new Spiritual resonance. It can bring about physical healing that has eluded you. It can open the door to energy and dimensions of existence previously not in your awareness. You might begin to access gratitude, magic, joy, rest, and play in ways you have not before.

Shamanic Healing can help you access your true power, and stir the cauldron of your Being. It can put you in touch with your own Spirit Guides, so that their presence and powerful help are more fully manifest in your life. Shamanic Healing can bestow upon you the freeing effects of Ancestral Healing. It can help you learn why you are on the Earth at this time so you can tap into the Work of Your Spirit. It can help you connect deeply with our Earth Mother and your gratitude for your life, no matter the circumstances, and your planetary home.

Spirit Guides

The Shamanic Healer puts her full trust in her Spirit Guides, who might be Animal or Plant Spirits, Goddesses or Gods, Ancestors, Fey or Fairy Folk or even elements such as Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. The Shamanic Healer is a conduit for energy and information from the Spirits. She is a go-between you, who need healing, and the Spirits who can provide that healing.

The Shamanic Journey

The Shamanic Journey is the process in which the Healer’s Spirit leaves her body and travels into the Spirit World to seek guidance, insight, information, and healing. This can be done on behalf of an individual person, a pair or group of people, for pets or wildlife, for plants or places, for situations, and even on behalf of Mother Earth herself.

Expanding into Shamanic Consciousness is available to ALL of Human Kind. The deepest and most profound healing can be had by taking up the Shamanic Path yourself and learning how to Shamanic Journey! Direct access to the Spirit World is in everyone’s heritage, everyone’s ancestry, and is still within everyone’s reach!

Choosing Shamanic Healing is you making a commitment to yourself and your healing journey. Whether this is your first step on your healing path or your hundredth, My Spirit Guides and I are here to help.

Grounding, Centering, and Shielding

Grounding, Centering, and Shielding is an essential part of the Shamanic Journey. It is the way we are certain our Spirit will remain tethered to our physical body and that our Spirit will be protected while in the Spirit World.

Grounding, Centering, and Shielding is also a practical tool for everyone for everyday life. I will share my own grounding, centering, and shielding practice here because my Spirit Guides often prescribe this practice to the people we do healing work for.

To Ground, I close my eyes and imagine a strong tap root continuing from the base of my spine into the Earth and growing all the way into the hot, molten core of the Earth. When I breathe out, I breathe down that root into the core of the Earth. When I breathe in, I imagine breathing Mother Earth’s fiery love energy up into my own Being, into my Heart. I breathe this grounding breath a few times.

To Center, with eyes still closed, I now imagine my arms reaching up to the sky and turning into branches which grow and grow until they embrace Grandmother Moon. (You might feel more connected to Grandfather Sun, a Star or a Planet, such as Jupiter, and may wish to center on that Celestial Being). When I breathe out, I breathe up my arm-branches to the Moon, and when I breathe in I bring her watery loving energy into my Being, my Heart. I breathe this centering breath a few times.

And finally, to Shield, (and with eyes still closed) I use the element I feel most connected to: Water. (You might feel more connected to Fire, Earth, or Air and should use that element). When I breathe in, I imagine breathing water into my Heart, then on the out breath I imagine that water flowing out of my Heart and swirling around and surrounding my body in a protective spherical shield. This shield completely surrounds me and is semi-permeable, meaning that I can allow in what I desire to allow in and it will keep out that which I desire to be shielded from.

I drew this in 2008 while pregnant with my first child. It is an early illustration of my developing Grounding or rooting practice.
