I went to Betti desperate for some relief from sciatic pain which was coming from a bulging disc. I didn’t know if it would make any difference since my problem was a structural one, but was willing to try. I did not know what to expect and as we went through the session I felt a calm loving, supportive energy which allowed me to relax.
Along the way I had the realization that at this stage in my life (moving toward 60), As I am bringing something new into existence – – birthing a new me and a new life, it is like caring for a new born baby and that not knowing how that baby will grow and who it will become is the joy of giving birth.
This realization re-contextualized everything for me: what I am doing, how I spend my time, and it gave me a sense of peace as I moved forward with the healing process of my back. The session greatly helped me to stop fighting being where I was and accept the process. I am grateful for Betti’s gift and having had the opportunity to experience it. She was much like a doula of my life.
