We need a minimum of 4 participants to hold this workshop.
We can accept a maximum of 8 participants.
Workshop Description
In this weekend workshop, you will :
- Build trust in the individuals and group
- Connect with the Earth
- Learn to ground, center, and shield/root yourself
- Experiment with sound and movement to help in processing grief
- Identify where grief lives in your body
- Create a mask or tool for use in group wailing ritual
- Experience a Wailing Ritual where we dive into the wailing well within
- Process the Wailing Ritual in our safe space
- Discuss ways to develop a personal ritual for processing grief
- Be invited to join in the ongoing (once every two months) opportunity to participate in a Community Wailing Circle
Things to Consider
This workshop takes place at Braided Root Waters Healing Sanctuary, a land-based healing center in its inception phase. If weather permits we would like to be outdoors around a fire. If weather does not permit, we will be in a heated indoor space. There are compost toilet facilities and no running water. For Covid safety, if we need to be indoors, we will require wearing a mask. Please bring a mask to each gathering.
Instructor bios
Anna Christine DiPilla, LMT, RYT-200: I am a trauma-informed bodyworker, embodied yoga guide, somatic therapies practitioner, and shamanic healer. I guide people into the waters of their emotions. and support them as they explore the messages in their bodies, alchemize the wisdom they unearth, and unravel liberated expressions of self.
Betti Rooted Lionheart, MA: I am a Shamanic Healer who helps people access the seismic energetic shifts that bring about true growth, resolution, and healing. I am a certified Shamanic Healer and Minister in the lineage of the Church of Earth Healing’s Spirit-Led Shamanism developed by Bekki Shining Bearheart and Crow Swimsaway. I deepen my practice by always seeking growth and transformation in my own life. I love to work with people who are overwhelmed by grief and despair for our Earth and who have experienced personal and collective (planetary/ human condition) trauma. I help people find their inner power, purpose, and joy. I bring people together around Fire. I offer Shamanic Healing to individuals through MoonWise EarthWalks Healing. I connect people with the Earth, Spirit, Fire and Each Other at Braided Root Waters Healing Sanctuary. I co-founded and co-facilitate the ongoing Despair and Discovery Circle.
